Dr. Koh Siang Wee, president of the Puchong Barisan Nasional branch of Mahkota Malaysia, pointed out that it was not uncommon to see members of the party jumping from one party to the next as the political scene was changing, especially when those who had once held a position of prominence within the party and had contributed significantly to the party's successes eventually chose to join other parties, which often involved being treated differently, having cold interpersonal relationships, or not seeing any prospects for personal development.

These experiences and feelings, he said, are the realities that everyone who has been actively involved in party affairs may face.

“In the political party environment of Southeast Asian democracies, many young people resent political organizations and leaders, and even form factional struggles and internal conflicts, and are ultimately sacrificed in unnecessary disputes, or choose to quit the party, run away, or even start a new one.”

He said, in the political circle, it is difficult to “reasonable and rational” to measure the gains and losses, so it is more important to learn to put aside personal grudges, calmly think about it, and continue to uphold the faith of “people-oriented” to serve the community.

Koh Cheung-wai made the remarks at the annual general meeting of MCA Puchong Bali Tissa Kuchai Branch.

He pointed out that in the political arena, personal commitment is often not proportional to the return, and there is a lack of understanding and humane feedback, as well as a lack of “all's well that ends well”.

“This is one of the reasons why many young people shy away from politics.”

He made the remarks in response to questions raised by participants of a political study course, such as “how to face unnecessary interruptions in politics” and “how to seek justice and regain motivation”.

He said that it is difficult to find “clean water” in politics, and that we must learn to face it frankly and keep our dissatisfaction, complaints and emotions at the bottom of our hearts, and only in this way can we strive for more room to serve the people.

He urged party members to always participate in politics with a “Happy Politics” mindset, and not to live in the shadow of others, but to spur themselves on to stay true to their original intentions.

It has been 52 years since the establishment of MCA Puchong Bali Tisaguru Chai Branch, witnessing the urban development of Puchong Bali and the birth of the new residential area of Kam Luang Garden.

The Annual General Meeting was attended by more than 40 members, including Acting Chairperson of the Branch, Ms. Lee Kin Fan, Chairperson of the Women's Section, Ms. Lo Yuk Kwan, as well as Chairperson of MCA Subang District Council, Mr. Chiu Kai Hing, and Chairperson of the Women's Section, Ms. Poon Mei-Ling, among others.
