SCORE Marathon 2026 – Rules & Regulations
Please read all of the Rules & Regulations carefully. Each individual who registers to participate in the SCORE Marathon 2026 by AIA Vitality (the “Event”) (and, where applicable, in the case of a participant below the age of 18 years as at the date of registration, the participant’s parent, guardian or legal representative) (“Participants”) declares and acknowledges to have read, understood and agreed to the terms & conditions and undertakes to comply with and be bound by the same.
1. General
1.1.
The Event is organised by SCORE Sports Management Sdn Bhd (the “Organiser”).
1.2.
The Event will be held on 18 & 19 July 2026, Saturday & Sunday (“Date”) at Dataran Putrajaya (“Venue”).
1.3.
The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.
1.4.

2. Personal Data Collection & Authorization
2.1.
By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, to participate in the Event or its related activities involving the Organiser and the Event sponsors (the “Sponsors”), the Participant is deemed to have agreed / given express permission to the following:
2.1.1.
Authorization to the Organiser, its Sponsors, agent(s) and/or contractor(s) to collect, process, organise and retain personal data relating to the Participant.
2.1.2.
The Personal Data of the Participant(s) shall be used for the purposes of:
2.1.2.1.
Marketing – sending communication materials, including but not limited to direct mailers, emails, SMS and/or telephone calls ;
2.1.2.2.
Statistical analysis for planning and improvement of the Event.
2.1.3.
As the Event owner, the Organiser may engage third parties to process the Participant’s Personal Data or essential items for Event operations in or outside Malaysia. Participants shall be deemed to have given consent to such transfers. Third parties are contractually obliged not to use the data for other purposes.
2.1.4.
The Participant shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Event if he/she withdraws his/her consent before the Event starts.
2.1.5.
The Organiser will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security and safekeeping of the Personal Data and that the same responsibility shall apply to its Sponsors, agent(s) and/or contractor(s) or authorised third parties who has access to the Personal Data.
2.1.6.
The Organiser may disclose Personal Data if required by law, regulation, competent authority, legal process, claims, or to protect rights or property.
3. Event Changes & Cancellation
3.1.
The Organiser reserves the right to change the Date and/or Venue or to postpone or cancel the Event for any reason whatsoever including force majeure (i.e. due to occurrence of any incident, condition or event that are beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser and which, in the Organiser’s opinion, renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event such as haze, storm, rain, inclement weather, wind, act of God, terrorism, pandemics, outbreaks, or other conditions) at any time without prior notice to the Participant, in which case the Organiser will make effort to inform the Participant prior to the Date.
3.2.
In the event that the Event is cancelled, postponed, or unable to be carried out due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure, acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, inclement weather, or any condition beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser, Participants acknowledge and agree that:
3.2.1.
There shall be NO refund of fees and the Organiser shall not be liable for any claims or losses for any inconvenience caused. Participants acknowledge and agree that the entry fee and any other transaction costs of the Event are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable ;
3.2.2.
Participants shall be entitled to collect their finisher entitlements (including medals, finisher tees, or other items as applicable) on a designated date and at a venue determined by the Organiser. Details regarding the collection shall be communicated to Participants via the Official Website and/or email. Participants are responsible for collecting their entitlements during the stipulated collection period; uncollected items shall be deemed forfeited.
3.3.
The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entry without giving any reason or notice. The Organiser also reserves the right at its absolute discretion to exclude or disqualify any Participant whom the Organiser opines to be acting in a manner which is against the interest of the Organiser or the Event or which is in violation of the Rules and Regulations or any terms and conditions of the Event or in case of (suspicion of) foul play or fraud. It is the duty and responsibility of the Participant to ensure his/her legal eligibility to participate in the Event.
3.4.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, defer and/or add any Event category without prior notice to the Participant.
3.5.
The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of the Rules and Regulations, Privacy Policy or any other terms and conditions of the Event from time to time and at any time as they deem fit. If there is an ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall have the authority to interpret and in so doing, the Organiser will take into account the interests of all parties involved. The decision of the Organiser shall be final and binding.
3.6.
Any updates, modifications or changes on the Rules and Regulations, Privacy Policy or any other terms & conditions of the Event will be notified on the Official Website and (unless otherwise stated) will be effective from the date of notification on the Official Website. It is the responsibility of the Participant to keep abreast with such updates and changes.
4. Insurance Coverage (GPA)
4.1.
Participants will be provided with Group Personal Accident coverage:
4.1.1.
Coverage for Accidental Death: Up to RM50,000 per participant
4.1.2.
Coverage for Permanent Disability: Up to RM50,000 per participant
4.1.3.
Coverage for Medical and Hospitalization: Up to RM3,000 per participant
4.2.
Insurance exclusions and eligibility:
4.2.1.
The GPA insurance will not cover participants who submit incomplete and false information and declaration during the registration of this Event. Our insurer reserves the right to reject and deny your claims.
4.2.2.
Participants’ entry age for the GPA insurance is 30 days to 75 years old.
4.2.3.
The GPA insurance will NOT cover participants from North Korea, Iran, Israel, Russia, Syria, Cuba and Ukraine.
5. Eligibility
5.1.
The Event is open to all. Participants agree to participate in the Event on his or her own free will. Age qualification will be taken as of Event Day.
5.2.
Participants must be aged 18 years old and above on Sunday 19 July 2026 to participate in the 42KM category.
5.3.
Participants must be aged 16 years old and above on Sunday 19 July 2026 to participate in the 21KM category.
5.4.
Participants must be aged 10 years old and above on Saturday 18 July 2026 to participate in the 10KM category.The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.
5.5.
Participants must be aged between 10 to 15 years old on Saturday 18 July 2026 to participate in the Malaysian 10KM Junior category.
5.6.
Participants must be aged 4 years old and above on Saturday 18 July 2026 to participate in the 5KM category. Participants aged 4 to 12 must be accompanied by at least ONE (1) adult participant aged 18 years and above.
5.7.
Age categories will be automatically assigned based on the participant’s age as of event day by the official timing system.
6. Registration
6.1.
Everyone is required to register via online registration at www.scoremarathon.com (“Official Website”) or www.heyjom.com (“Official Registration Website”)
6.2.
Participants shall provide true, accurate, current and complete information. The Organiser may contact the Participant from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the Participant. If the Participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, or if the Organiser has ground to believe that such information is untrue, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, the Organiser may at any time suspend, revoke, cancel or terminate the Participant’s registration for the Event and refuse any and all current or future use of the Event’s Official Website (or any parts thereof).
6.3.
The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form. NO refunds will be made for incorrect or multiple registration.
6.4.
Each participant is only allowed one (1) entry / registration per category.
6.5.
Participants are strictly not allowed to change categories.
6.6.
Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their Event entry to another party or change the Event categories after his/her registration is confirmed.
6.7.
By virtue of being the Event owner, the Organiser may use services of third parties.
6.8.
The Event’s registration will be confirmed via confirmation e-mail, which will be sent to the registered email address. If the Participant does not receive the Confirmation E-mail within the stipulated time or is unable to download the Confirmation E-mail from the registration portal; or If there is discrepancy in the Confirmation E-mail, the Participant may report such discrepancies to register@score.my within five (5) working days from the date the registration date.
6.9.
Once Participant’s registration has been duly processed, there will be NO refund of fees to Participants who wish to withdraw their participation for whatever reason.
6.10.
Registration closing date : 30 March 2026, or upon reaching the maximum of 50,000 participants.

21KM Overall Open (Men/Women) ;

7. Registration Fees
7.1.
Malaysian fees are only applicable for Malaysian citizens residing in Malaysia with valid Malaysian IC/ Malaysian permanent residents/ expatriates holding a legal pass or permit residing in Malaysia with:
7.1.1.
Valid Malaysian mailing address ; &
7.1.2.
Valid Malaysian mobile number .
7.2.
Non-Malaysian fees are applicable for individuals who are NOT Malaysian citizens and do not legally reside in Malaysia with a valid Malaysia address and Malaysian mobile number.
8. High Performance Category
8.1.
Participants in the 42KM, 21KM and 10KM categories, who are looking to finish within the prize money standings for their distance and race category, are advised to register under High Performance in your respective category as only those registered as High Performance runners are eligible for the prize money.
8.2.
During registration, Participants will be given the option to apply to be a High Performance Participant if their pace meets the qualifying time as per stipulated on the official website.
8.3.
Participants who apply will be required to submit proof that they have achieved the required qualifying time within the qualifying window period from events with a World Athletics International Measurement Certificate.
8.4.
Only selected participants will be allowed to race under the High Performance Category.
8.5.
Selection of High Performance participants is subject to slots availability.
8.6.
Not all Participants who submit their applications will be automatically accepted nor guaranteed entry to be a High Performance Participant.
8.7.
All qualifying times submitted are subject to review and verification.
8.8.
The qualifying window period, submission window period, and qualifying times are as per stipulated on the Official Website.
8.9.
The Organiser reserves the right to approve or decline any application without prior notice.
8.10.
All nationalities, including Malaysian citizens are eligible to win in the “Overall” categories.
8.11.
Only Malaysian citizens and Malaysian permanent residents who hold a valid Malaysian Identity Card are allowed to win podium prizes under the “Malaysian” categories.
8.12.
Malaysian permanent residents and expatriates who hold a legal pass/permit residing in Malaysia are NOT eligible to win under the “Malaysian” Categories. Participants will be denied entry to the race or disqualified if found to be in violation of any other eligibility criteria specified by the Organiser.
9. Race Entry Pack
9.1.
Race entry packs consists of:
9.1.1.
Event tee ;
9.1.2.
A race bib (c/w timing chip for 10KM, 21KM & 42KM).
9.2.
Event tee sizes availability are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
9.3.
All T-shirt measurements are subject to 1–2 inches tolerance.
9.4.
All merchandise – colour, design and material – published on the “Official Website” and “Official Registration Website” are for illustration purposes. The images of the products may differ from the actual merchandise and are subject to change without notice.
9.5.
T-shirt size changes are strictly NOT allowed.
9.6.
Participants must collect their Race Kits at the Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC) venue during the Collection Period (delivery otherwise), where details will be stated on the Official Website.
9.7.
Collection of race kits is strictly limited to a maximum of three (3) pax per collector.
9.8.
It is the responsibility of the Participants to check and ensure that they receive all of the items of their race entry packs correctly and without defects, before leaving the REPC counter.
9.9.
Should there be any issues, Participants or the representatives will need to inform the staff at the REPC counter immediately. Thereafter, the Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any enquiries regarding race entry pack issues.
9.10.
All Race Entry Packs that are not collected during the stipulated collection date will be deemed as unwanted and the Organiser shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly.
9.11.
There will be STRICTLY NO distribution of Race Entry Packs on race day.
9.12.
Delivery :
9.12.1.
For Race Entry Pack delivery, Participants are only entitled to receive Event Tee and Race Bib. NO sponsored goodies will be delivered.
9.12.2.
Bulk delivery is NOT applicable. All Race Entry Pack will be delivered individually.
9.12.3.
The Delivery option is only available for Malaysia addresses and must be chosen during the registration process / submitted with the registration.
9.12.4.
It is the responsibility of the Participants to check and ensure that they have received the correct items for their race entry packs upon delivery.
9.12.5.
In the event of any delivery issues, Participants must inform the Organiser via e-mail to register@score.my.
9.12.6.
The delivery fee for each Race Entry Pack is RM25 per pack for Peninsular Malaysia and RM30 per pack for East Malaysia.
9.12.7.
The Organiser is NOT responsible for any undelivered Race Entry Pack due to:
9.12.7.1.
Incorrect or Incomplete delivery address
9.12.7.2.
Unavailability of receiver at the delivery address ;
9.12.7.3.
No refund will be provided for undelivered Race Entry Pack
9.12.8.
All second-time delivery fees of Race Entry Pack will be borne by the Participants
10. Event Participation
10.1.
The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event’s race routes (“Routes”) as it deems fit, whether for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event or otherwise, at any time without prior notice to the Participant. In such an event, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the Date of the Event. Any changes made to the Event’s Routes will be posted on the Official Website. It is the responsibility of the Participant to keep abreast with such changes. The Organiser shall not be liable for any other losses or inconveniences caused due to such changes.
10.2.
Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participant’s safety, Participant participates in the Event at their own risk. The Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death, damage or loss of property, whether personal or otherwise, suffered or caused, arising from training for, during participation, or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly advised to go for medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the Date of the Event.
10.3.
Participants must, at all times, follow their respective Routes, the direction of security officers/officials, traffic management officers/officials, Event’s officers/officials and any other enforcement officers/officials.
10.4.
Participants must retire from the Event immediately, if required to do so by any member of the Event’s official medical staff, Event director, referee and/or security officer.
10.5.
It is the sole responsibility of every participant to inform the medical staff/safety marshal on duty regarding any injury or reason that they cannot exercise.In the event that the Event is cancelled, postponed, or unable to be carried out due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure, acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, inclement weather, or any condition beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser, Participants acknowledge and agree that:
10.6.
Should any participant feel fatigue, restless, or an injury at any time during or before the session, they must immediately inform the medical staff/safety marshal and refrain from joining the session.
10.7.
Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the course of the Routes other than official Event and medical vehicles.
10.8.
Individuals who are not officially registered Participants are not permitted on the course under any circumstances. Any Participant found to be in breach of this rule may be disqualified or removed from the course without entitlement to a refund.
10.9.
The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs, images, motion pictures, recordings, and/or any other media records of the Event (including those of the Participant and of his/her name and other information without any compensation or payment or any prior notice), for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution by the Organiser in any form of media or medium and for such duration as the Organiser deems fit whether within Malaysia or elsewhere.
10.10.
A Participant who commences to run before the actual start time (“Flag-Off Time”) of his/her registered category in the Event will be disqualified. (Please refer to start times of the Event).
10.11.
Participants who do not start within ten (10) minutes from the Flag-off Time will be disqualified and for safety reasons may not be allowed to start.
10.12.
Cut Off Times:
10.12.1.
5KM – 1 hour 30 mins ;
10.12.2.
10KM – 2 hours 30 mins ;
10.12.3.
21KM – 4 hours ;
10.12.4.
42KM – 7 hours 15 mins .
10.13.
Participants must complete their respective run categories (which they registered for) within the following cut-off times (these are all based on the gun time i.e., the time when the starting gun is fired); otherwise they will be deemed disqualified or did not finish.
10.14.
Finisher entitlement will only be given to runners who complete the run within the cut-off time.
10.15.
Participants in the 42KM, 21KM and 10KM categories are required to start from different Start Pens based on their estimated time of completion. Participants are to assemble in their respective Start Pens which are reflected on their running bib. “Start Pens” are designated start areas designed to facilitate a more efficient and convenient race start, and more optimal race day experience for all Participants. The Organiser has the right to change the Start Pens of the Participants, where deemed necessary, without prior notice to the Participants.
10.16.
The Event’s 42KM route has been measured to the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (“AIMS”) standards. The length of the race route has been established by an accredited International Association of Athletics Federations (“IAAF”)-AIMS course measurer.
10.17.
The cut-off time for 42KM is seven (7) hours fifteen (15) minutes from the first flag-off. Road closures on the 42KM route will be lifted by stage & fully lifted after seven (7) hours fifteen (15) minutes from commencement of the race. Cut-off times will be set at specific checkpoints along the 42KM route to ensure the safety of Participants who are unable to complete the race within the seven (7) hours fifteen (15) minutes and to ensure that the roads can be re-opened to the public in accordance with the Event permit. These are all based off the gun time i.e., the time when the starting gun is fired
10.18.
If the 42KM Participants do not reach each checkpoint within the stipulated cut-off time, he/she will be disqualified and may be required to board the sweeper and will be taken to a location nearby Venue.
10.19.
The Organiser shall not be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property during the Event.
10.20.
Beverages are permitted provided they are in a sealed container only (no glass containers allowed).
10.21.
The Organiser shall not be responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of user communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or traffic congestion on the internet and/or the Event’s Official Website.
10.22.
Participants are required to comply with any amendments made to the Rules and Regulations by the Organiser
10.23.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to the Event at its sole discretion.
10.24.
Participants are advised to wear the Event’s running tee during the Event.
10.25.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant who does not adhere to the race age requirement.
10.26.
Participants below the age of 18 years old must obtain parental / guardian consent.
10.27.
Bibs given to the participants during the entry pack collection are to be worn and pinned in front of their shirts at all times during the Event. Participants without their assigned race bib will be refused entry into the starting point.
11. Results, Winners & Prizes
11.1.
The results of all categories will be verified by the Organiser and their decision is final.
11.2.
The “Gun Time” will be used to determine the winners for each of the following categories:-
11.2.1.
10KM Malaysian Junior – Men’s & Women’s ;
11.2.2.
10KM Overall Open/Veteran – Men’s & Women’s ;
11.2.3.
21KM Overall Open/Malaysian Open/Malaysian Veteran – Men’s & Women’s ;
11.2.4.
42KM Overall Open/Malaysian Open/Malaysian Veteran – Men’s & Women’s .
11.3.
By registering for the Event, the Participant agrees that the Organiser might post the full race results on the Official Website after Event day.
11.4.
Each Participant is allowed to win only one prize money (where applicable) in the category that he/she has registered for.
11.5.
Only High Performance Category Participants are eligible for the prize money.
11.6.
Each Participant is entitled to only ONE cash prize, whichever prize amount is higher.
11.7.
Winners or potential winners who do not use his/her assigned running bib will be disqualified.
11.8.
All winners must present their original identification document (such as Passport or Identity Card) for verification purposes at the Winners’ Verification Booth.
11.9.
For winners or potential winners, disputes and appeals must be made within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site at the Winners’ Verification Booth, failing which the Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any disputes or appeals thereafter.
11.10.
For all other Participants, disputes and appeals regarding the results must be submitted in writing including electronic mail within 48 hours after the Event. The Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeals thereafter.
11.11.
For all other Participants, any discrepancy in their results, must be informed to the Organiser via electronic mail within 48 hours after the official results have been published on the Official Website. No requests for amendment of timing or ranking and follow-ups will be entertained thereafter.
11.12.
For all disputes, the Organiser’s decision is final and no other disputes thereafter will be entertained.
11.13.
All winners must report themselves at the Winners’ Holding Area for prize presentation as stipulated on their winner’s tag. In case a winner fails to do so, the Organiser may donate the cash prize money to charity.
11.14.
Winners must ensure that they collect their prizes after the race and upon announcement of results. All uncollected prizes will be forfeited.
11.15.
IMPORTANT: All Podium winners are required to attend the prize giving ceremony on stage. Failing which, Clauses 11.13. and 11.14. shall apply accordingly.
11.16.
The Organiser reserves the right to replace any winners if he/she is found to be disqualified.
11.17.
Prize money will be submitted to the winners through bank transfer within 30 to 60 days or after the Organiser has received the anti-doping test results.
12. Certificate
12.1.
E-Certificate will be made available within seven (7) days from the Event day for Participants to download.
12.2.
E-Certificate will be available for download for a period of fifteen (15) days from the day that it was made available.
13. Finisher Entitlements and Trophies
13.1.
Finisher medals will be available for redemption at a designated area after the finishing line to Participants on the Event day. No claims will be entertained thereafter.
13.2.
Finisher tees (for 42KM and 21KM only) will be available for redemption at a designated area after the finishing line to Participants on the Event day. No claims will be entertained thereafter.
13.3.
Finisher medals and finisher tees will only be given to participants who complete the run within the respective categories’ cut-off times.
13.4.
Trophy(ies) will be given out during the prize presentation.
14. Assumption of Risks, Waiver, & Release of Liability
14.1.
The Event is organised by SCORE Sports Management Sdn Bhd (the “Organiser”).
14.2.
The Event will be held on 18 & 19 July 2026, Saturday & Sunday (“Date”) at Dataran Putrajaya (“Venue”).
14.3.
The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.
14.4.

14.4.1.
Accept and assume all of the risks and dangers and any potential risks and dangers in connection with the Participant’s participation in the Event ;
14.4.2.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, none of the Organiser, online registration company, sub-contractors, all municipal agencies and relevant authority whose property or personnel are used, all sponsors, co-sponsors and other companies, parties and individuals related to the Event, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, related corporations, subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “Releasees”) shall be responsible or liable in any manner for any costs, expenses, loss, damages, liabilities, injury or death caused by participation in the Event ;
14.4.3.
The Organiser will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security and safekeeping of the Personal Data and that the same responsibility shall apply to its Sponsors, agent(s) and/or contractor(s) or authorised third parties who has access to the Personal Data.
14.4.4.
Waives and relinquishes the right to sue or take any action or proceeding against the Releasees (or any of them) for any and all claims, demands, losses or damages of the Participant on account of any injury, death, damage to property or any other cause of action, which is caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence, fault, act or omission of the Releasees (or any of them) or otherwise.
14.5.
The decision of the Organiser on all and any matter in connection with the Event shall be final and binding.
14.6.
If any provision (or any part thereof) of the Rules and Regulations or any terms and conditions of the Event is held by a competent court or other competent authority in a final decision (namely, after exhausting all appeal avenues if applicable) to be illegal, void or unenforceable in the relevant jurisdiction, that provision or the relevant part thereof shall be deemed to be deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect in respect of such jurisdiction.
14.7.
A failure or delay by Organiser in exercising, or in omitting to exercise, any right, remedy, power or privilege accruing to the Organiser hereunder, or the knowledge or acquiescence by the Organiser of or in any breach of any of the Rules and Regulations, shall not impair or operate or be construed as a waiver of such right, remedy, power or privilege or an acquiescence in such breach or a waiver of such Rules and Regulations any of them. No waiver shall be binding on the Organiser unless it is made in writing. No waiver by the Organiser of a breach of any Rules and Regulations shall constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other Rules and Regulations.
14.8.
The Rules and Regulations shall be binding on the heirs, personal representatives, executors and administrators and permitted assigns of the Participant.
14.9.
The Rules and Regulations and all documents concerning the Event shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. By registering for the Event, the Participant shall be deemed to have agreed to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
