Bullseye victory and losing years similarities

 The 2017 Sports Day and the 20th Anniversary Sports Day in 2024 have very similar similarities, alongside the origin of the two Bullseye victories that precede them. The circumstances causing the victory and loss of Bullseye were very similar.

Let's break it down:

Bullseye has two victory streaks, 2014-2016, and 2019-2023. 

Both victory streaks begun with an initial, first time victory which involved symbolism.

Both victory streaks ended with Bullseye being declared the winner for most of the competitions, amid improved performance while retaining the overall champion.

The losing year following the victory streaks had symbolism and a strong case to be included with the other victory streaks.

2014 vs 2019

Prior to the 2014 Sports Day, many Bullseye members desire for a victory of Bullseye in the Sports Day. This came true on 9th April 2014, where Bullseye finally won after years of trying as house captain Brian Ong lifted the trophy. The symbol of Bullseye winning the Sports Day motivated Bullseye members to continue winning more sports events and also repeat victories in those events, causing Bullseye to win in the 2014 Nobel Cup, 2015 Sports Day, 2015 Nobel Cup and 2016 Sports Day. Lau Wei Yiang and Caleb Chuang designed several plans that pushed Bullseye towards success. 

The eve of the 2019 Sports Day on 22nd March 2019 was marked with widespread desire for Bullseye to win the Sports Day after losing in 2017 and 2018. Given the slagging performance of Bullseye despite being in second place, many people wanted Bullseye to do more to regain the top spot. The increasing clampdown of the management upon Bullseye for its past victory streak pushed Bullseye members to the limits and defied all odds to win the 2019 Sports Day. The struggle and willingness of Wei Yiang to prove that alumni can make a difference resulted in him bulldozing past every obstacle planted by the management to contribute towards Bullseye's victory that year, building on sentiment of Bullseye's members. The victory of Bullseye in the 2019 Sports Day resulted in increased desire to win more editions, culminating in Bullseye winning the overall tally in 2020, 2022 and 2023, with 2021 being the linkage year as part of the victory streak. 

2016 vs 2023

On the eve of the 2016 Sports Day, Bullseye managed to achieve a landslide victory in the 2015 Nobel Cup, winning all the sports except for the Badminton, which was won by Homerun and securing the title of Nobel Cup's champion house for the second time. Four months later, on 24th March 2016, Bullseye won the 2016 Sports Day and led first place in the overall tally, winning all the athletic competitions with many of Bullseye's members achieving medals in the process, alongside other judging events. The accolading of Sean Mark as the Sports Boy further cemented Bullseye as a formidable force, with high expectations it will win the next Sports Day. 

In 2023, the sports landscape was complicated with many postponements of sports events at a time where Bullseye was trailing the official tally that year. The postponement allowed Bullseye's members to regain strength and win the Sports Day, Nobel Cup and Founder's Run, winning all the events in the process. With the spirited support of Chee Fooi Foon and a bunch of other outsiders, Bullseye managed to secure the longest ever victory streak ever created in Nobel International School's history, a title that remains to this day. 

2017 vs 2024

Both 2017 and 2024 were proposed years to be added to the victory streaks that preceded them. Both years had high symbolism that warranted them to be included in the victory streaks but were foiled by a Touchdown victory in both years. Both continue to be sentimental with what-ifs as to the alternate history of being included in the victory streak in an alternate timeline should the failed plans come to success. 

In 2017, plans were on for Bullseye to win a fourth victory year and add it to the existing victory streak of 2014, 2015 and 2016 to make it four years. The four victory years was unprecedented at the time of planning. The year 2017 was to culminate Lau Wei Yiang and Caleb Chuang's final year in Nobel International School after proposing Bullseye victory plans since the 2014 Nobel Cup, which caught the attention of many students and Bullseye members and led Bullseye to victory. This was to be the topping off of so many victory plans for Bullseye by Wei Yiang and Caleb since 2014. The plan was to make it a total of four victory years so long as Wei Yiang and Caleb Chuang graduated by the end of 2017. This plan was foiled by a single point, Bullseye 648, Touchdown 649, which came at a time of heightened turbulence throughout the 2017 Sports Day preparation period from January to March 2017. Bullseye eventually managed to succeed in achieving four victory years in November 2022 during the Nobel Cup. In 2023, it added a fifth year following its victory in the 2023 Sports Day. 

The 20th Anniversary Sports Day in 2024 was meant to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Nobel International School. At the same time, 2024 also marks 10 years since Bullseye's first ever Sports Day victory in 2014. As that anniversary, too, was the one that started it all, given the fact that from 2014 to 2023, only two years (2017 and 2018) were lost years, the aim by Lau Wei Yiang was to celebrate every single Bullseye member and honor their contributions to the house. The year 2024 was to be the crown jewel of the existing Bullseye victory streak should it be added. The plans were foiled when Bullseye lost the final athletic events and the judging competitions, causing Touchdown to win.
